Sunshine & Slices is Cape Town’s newest celebration of edible artistry.

 

Presented by Lavender and Lace Events and The Cake Emporium, this is a vibrant festival where cake meets creativity, community, and sunshine.

 

Our inaugural event elevates the beloved Cake Picnic tradition into a curated Cake Art Walk, showcasing sculptural cakes and design showpieces by South Africa’s finest cake artists in a gallery-inspired setting.

 

This debut year is headlined by the extraordinary Lynne Glass, who will also lead an exclusive Masterclass for our VIP guests - an intimate, high-end learning experience with one of the country’s most renowned cake designers.

 

Alongside the cake picnic and edible art exhibition, guests can enjoy a lineup of festive experiences including live music by Kruger & Tutu, a dedicated kids’ cupcake decorating station, a variety of food trucks, pop up bars featuring incredible mixologists and a curated selection of vendor stalls offering artisanal treats and creative finds.
